Hello Guys,

Today I landed my first client, the call was actually about giving them a free website (Host Gator Aff Method) and it turned into them hiring me for social networking.

I'll be running a youtube channel, facebook page and also a twitter account for them, handling all the managing etc.

How much should I charge them per month? There only a small business and I don't want to sound like the big guy taking advantage.

Thanks everyone!

Depending on the size of there business (# employees, market niche, revenue, etc.) you can figure out a good rate. Hard to tell you extacly how much without knowing much about the company info ^^^.

How much work are you putting in? How much is it costing you? How large is the business? What is your competition charging?

I live in a small area and these people are local.

I would say no more then 4 employees. They have a lot of higher class competition in the area and they work in a small little accommodation thing.

Yeah don't low ball yourself, especially considering you gave them the free site (using the hosting commision method), and your price should be in accordance to what kind of business they are.

Oh sorry If I wasn't clear, they declined the website but hired me for Social Networking.

They are an Accommodation business with low clients.

Thanks,

I honestly dont know what they would earn per month, I'll ask for $60 which is $15 a week. I'll send an hour a week on the website.

140 / Month until they become popular. Then *managing costs* increase.

First off, Kudo's on moving so fast. Read your post about cold calling yesterday, and today you have landed a client already, props!

If you ask me, just figure out how much hours you have to put in, decide what you want to earn per hour, and then add any expenses you are making. example.

Expenses 50$
Hours * 25$ xxx$
Total yyy <- charge them this ;)
