Okay... So I ranked a new site on #2 in a week, made sales already... just wanted to see if im able to do that and yea, I was.

It is not long-term I guess, I know a lot about SEO but I don't know how to rank a site long-term.

Recently I checked some posts here at BHW, typed site:blackhatworld[]cxm "guest posts" in Google, and started to read.

People are saying "Guest posts are c r *p and they seems to be spammy in googles eyes".

Question: What the f*c k doesn't seems to spammy in Google's eyes then?

If you can rank a site in a week to #2, but you know its gonna get slapped, then you are good at spamming (also depending on the keyword competition of course). SEO is different, IMO SEO is long term.

What doesn't seem spammy? Links that look natural, links in good context with your niche, from authority websites. Basically, links that are more difficult to get.
 
Actually I didn't spam. Only quality contextual backlinks, just not dripped them.

It's okay that you say, but do you think guest posts from authority sites looks unnatural or spammy? It's almost the same when someone mention you in his/her own post.
 
Do whatever works.
GSA and a VPS is working wonders for me.
 
I know it may sound weird, But why not scale what you have achieved in 2 week's time, You are telling that you have made some sales with the rankings.

I think the only things that looks spammy is unnatural link profiles, like 10 000 wiki links or 90% anchor text for 'keyword1' .. just mix up link types and anchor text and you should be good.
 
Ok if it is short term (though I don't see why, only the time will show) then make one website of that kind per day and that's all, some sites will go down and the new ones will their thier place.

It would be too time consuming and costly for a more competetive keyword. What if I do this over a year and then Google just slaps my site because one of they animals consider it spammy? Just saying because people are telling me guest posts looks spammy, then what not looks spammy? I tought guest posting is a trusty source of backlinks.
