I have been backlinking on one of my old sites for the past few days. Before I started, the site was staying around #9 on first page. Now when I check, it is still number 9 but when I check through an online serp checker, its number 4. Tried checking with trafic travis and that says its number 3

    Anyone know whats going on?

btw, I have checked on multiple computers/networks after clearing cookies and result stays the same

Anyone know a reliable serp checker?

Something's up; my rankings are showing up weird as well (if I check manually, in incognito mode - I'm nowhere to be found in top 100; if I check with SerpAttacks I'm 3rd or 4th for each of my keywords; if I check without incognito mode, I'm a little more down on the page) ... dunno what's happening

Get on a us(or the target country) proxy and do a search for your keyword.

Differemt data centers update ranking factors at different rates and have slightly different evolutions of the algo.

Typically ranking checkers poll from the central US data centers due to the proxies used.

You will likely find that your local results will reflect those of the trackers in a couple of days

If you check your ranking on different data centers, you will usually get different serp positions. This is normal.

Hey, my Serp Buddy rankings are right now all over the place and completely unreliable. I assumed it was Serp Buddy... but perhaps there has been an update that has messed with our rank trackers.
