What the hell has Google done now?

What has Google done. Over the past several days iv noticed that when im typing in the search box there is a drop down that appears while im typing.

Is this supposed to be a great user experience? All its doing is interfering with my typing. As i type the drop down appears and my typing is slowed way down and seems jumpy and interrupted. Why don't they just leave things alone.

yeah but it's great for keyword ideas even when you're not looking for them (though I'm never not, but..)

It is not happening for my search in FF. But, it does happen with chrome for the address bar. If you start typing blackhat in the address bar it suggests blackhatworld.com. How nice of them.

yes, I thought I screwed something. Its annoying, and it doesn't show me my earlier searches as before

working fine in FF for me 2.0.0.16. I'm sure it's a javascript thing if it doesn't work for you.

It started happening to me in ff3 a couple days ago. I suck at typing so I don't notice the delay in typing. Yahoo has been doing this for a little while and I used it a few times to get keyword ideas.

actually I thought it sucked too
until I was searching for a cool youtube
user name ... the one with most search results
helped me decide...

I kinda hate it a little less then before...
