What the best blogging platform

My vote goes to wordpress. A lot of good/free plugins, easy to install and update. I almost make my websites exclusivly out of WP these days
 
Tumblr is really hot right now, but it's more of a social blog and it is dominated by images and media.

If you want to do more traditional blogging, wordpress is the way to go.
 
yep it's free. you can build your own site with the wordpress cms or you can use wordpress.org

Yes id say wordpress, you can go . com or . org for the plugins etc. But as said above tumblr is nice and simple and its getting bigger and better. all free though!

It really depends on your needs, but wordpress have the most options. You can make an insane looking blog for free with it. It's full with free themes, plugins and other goodies.
Blogger is really simple and I don't know if it's true or not(just my personal experience) but google loves blogger blogs and they usually rank good.
Tumblr is easy to get targeted traffic, but as VinBed said it's mostly images and media.

I would recommend you choose either Wordpess or Blogger, but use Tumblr as well. Depending on your niche you can add images and point them at your other blog :)
 
Wise choice. At least if you go with the self-hosted version which you get from wordpress.ORG

wordpress.COM is for the free blog version hosted by the Automattic team around Matt Mullenweg. These guys are pretty strict about monetising your blog so stay away from them and get some hosting and install your own wordpress blog.
 
Self hosted Wordpress without a doubt. It's not only an autoblogging platfrom but it's one of the best CMS actually - with proper theme and plugins you can trun it to be pretty much anything starting from social network and ending with membership site.
