Sure you can set up adsense since your visitors get targeted ads anyways. I would only go with adsense on your site when you have more then 500 visitors a day since a adsense click is in a lot of niches less worth then a couple of cpa's with nice $ on a day.

You have to find out yourself, tweak some things, mix things up and see how it goes.

Theres no straight answer on this one since all our niches are different and our ways of approach.
