What speed are you gettting with XSServer?

Hi,

Im hovering over the $25 VPS package on XSServer today, im thinking of moving scrapebox from my home connection which sometimes nearly hits 10Mbit.

Ive seen a few reports of people getting lower speeds on XSServer though.
so could i respectfully ask a few people using it to run speedtest.net and post your results so i can get a performance snapshot before i purchase?

I was getting around 30-50Mbps

On a friends VPS i'm using i get 100-200MBps (Usually top end as its a 1gb Port)
 
thanks for the reply was hoping for a couple more from BHW to get a bigger picture, but that not bad i guess for a shared 100Mbs
 
xsservers are crap! I get on mine $10/month ( same spec vps) 400mbps ;)
 
thought id update this is anyones interested

in the absence of a PM (above) i signed up in the end.

so after a week or so on average its getting around 70Meg down and 60 up so pretty good it seems for a shared connection :)

im with them right now and not very pleased. scrapebox didnt work for the first two weeks i was using them because they installed the OS incorrectly or something and i had to get everything reset and it still runs slow as hell, switching to someone else at the end of the month. i donot recommend xsserver at all!
 
I got last download speed test was 60 mb/s. Can't test now because I'm running SB to it's full potential.

It works fine for me and I'm in the USA and their servers are in Germany.
 
I hate XSServer.com. It is always signing me off automatically, Scrapebox runs slow...memory can't handle it...and they will not give you your money back! I am changing over in a few weeks. I am not telling where I am going because I don't want everyone sharing my VPS..

Then you're going to want a dedicated server, VPS is all shared that's why its so cheap.
 
With VPS servers it's the luck of the draw. They're all shared and depending on your neighborhood whether you have a good experience or not.
 
Im gonna update this again as i think first impressions with XSServer were not that accurate.

Scrapebox is running slow as hell!

Im not sure where the problem lies, i initially blamed my proxies (squid) so theyve issued some new ones.
But im finding posting even without proxies its below 1Mbs on the SB bandwidth meter even without proxies (generally slower with them)

So I dunno either ive set something up wrong or i need to find another VPS :(
 
I have recently closed my XSservers account. Arrogant people with shitty service lately.
