    Hi,
I am hitting an affiliate market (promoting affiliate products)
The competition is moderate but not very difficult to overcome.
So far I have been trying to get the following types of backlinks:
    1. Niche related blog comments (these are mainly nofollow)
    2. Niche related forum entries
    3. A couple of high quality directories
    4. A couple of profiles
    5. PBNs - my requirements here are: min 20 RD with contextual backlinks (built within an article), 10+ TF

I try to avoid free web 2.0 sites as I rather use my unique hand written articles for the dropping websites I get and use as PBNs

Are there actually any other backlinks worth getting while using this strategy? Or if I have budget should I focus on building more and more HQ PBNs?

Paul and Angela links...... fuck is it 2016 already. Sorry. I'll get PBN in first.

All. All links types are worth having if they are done right. Diversity.

Thank you for your replies! :)
I guess I didn't get your point :p Would you focus on PBNs only?

I know they are fine but if I am able to get decent PBNs on daily basis should I bother getting free web 2.0 links? Writing sucks

What do you mean by "done right" ?

Good content, aged accounts if possible, on non-spammed properties/domains, dripfed... quality.

Can we assume that getting the same backlinks as our competitors have (those displayed by ahrefs and majestic) + adding high quality PBNs will make me succeed ?

Looking at competitor backlinks is a good way to start. Some of their more valuable backlinks (e.g., on some PBNs), may be hidden from Ahrefs/Majestic/Etc.
