What software would you like to see developed?

Hey,

I'm working with a university student who is looking to develop some software. He would like to know what peoples needs are and see if there is a way he can fulfill them.
 
Advertise on BHW
In what niche? What are the skills? What language and what technology is he aware off?

"To develop some software" - is a REALLY broad spectrum.

Python, Java, MySql, C, C++, PHP

His spec so far is very broad and he is open to suggestions of things people may be in need. I'd assume social media orientated but if there is something which appeals and has a need elsewhere, i'm sure he would consider.
 
If you want to know what people want as in software go to upwork or freelancer or even here HAF section and see what people want, what kind or software built for them by freelancers...
 
Do you have some understanding in IM using SM? Cause only know to make a software without understanding the subject is kind hard. You can try make software to automate proven method than you can sell at marketplace.

Hi, If you don't mind please make a software that can scrape or copy users who liked a certain post on instagram, whenever i try copying them i just end up pasting 12 users

Will pass the message on. Scrape the users in provide just their usernames in a .CSV file?
 
A software that reads the first 10 pages of Google search results for a given keyword, makes a correlation and lists the factors that are helping the sites to rank.

Which factors would you want to consider? You would have to specifically designate metrics to measure on each page.

Most newbies believe that good on-page SEO and quality backlinks can help them rank anything. Google algorithm ranks differently for each niche which I understood after studying results in multiple niches. They prioritize domain authority for News to avoid fake articles, freshness for social media articles to fetch viral content, user engagement for videos and adult content, backlinks for SEO, finance, health etc niches, social sharing for How To and DIY content. The list is endless, and we can't use the same factors for every niche.

Too be honest I am not sure what is needed for such a tool but I am in need of an Instagram Post scraper (Videos and Images) that can change the Hash of the file so it is safe for reuploading. Maybe some features like statistic export for those scraped posts too.
 
I would to see a software like a craigslist scraper to scrape emails based upon keywords and to contact these persons. However i am skeptical of posts like this, a previous poster used this forum to get a lot of ideas on bots to build and he did not delivered not even 1 to anyone who replied to his post.
