Currently I am using Todoist for daily task management, and for support tickets I use Zendesk and for projects I use Files and folders stored on a cloud based data service (Livedrive).

I really need something else that can do all of those things.

I have been trying out basecamp which looks really good for project management, but not very good for daily task management.

Just wondering what other people use for managing projects/tasks etc.?

I tried so many but Pen + Paper really is the best for me. Had to use Microsoft Project for coordinating with people at work, but imo it's a big waste of time. Google Drive spreadsheets are useful for long-distance projects.

I used to always use pen and paper, and I still do now for small tasks and for brain storming.
But I need something that I can update from anywhere, and that other people can collaborate on.

I use livedrive which is similar to google docs scenario, it means I can have documents that can be collaborated on from anywhere, it keeps revision history and so on.

The main issues for me are a software for managing a project - milestones, calendars, tasks etc, and also a daily task software - where there might be 5-6 scheduled meetings, 10-15 tasks with varying levels of importance, and they all need to be easy to see, complete, update and so on, as well as having a history of completed tasks, and the ability for it to link in with projects and so on.

Use evernote and set up a folder and subfolders for everysite/project/day/month/week/year

For example Affiliate sites: (I use codes to indentify sites)
BPW (BestPurplewidgets)
BRW (BestRedwigdets)
AWFW (Awesome widgets for wordpress)

You get the idea.

Then for daily to do; set up 4 folders.
1 for day
1 week
1 for month
1 for year

Everyday you will plan your day and make a new note in a subfolder called Plan for the Day.
Every week you will plan your week and make a new note in a subfolder called Plan for the month.
etc
etc

So this is how it should look:
Plan for the year/month/week/day
Plan for the day
Plan for the week
Plan for month
etc

Then for your sites you could a have a folder.

Affiliate sites
BBW
BRW
AWFW

Any more help let me know,
Mo

Have you tried Teambox? Haven't used it myself but the name's come up at work. It's just usually a pain to get everyone into the same application (people get stuck in their ways!).

How about Trello for task/project management? Saw a demo of this during a video launch recently.

thanks Ill look those up and try them.

MS Office - Project. Been using this for more than 4 years. Started using it when I was employed and continued using it after moving over to full time IM. I find it very useful to break down tasks into sub tasks with dependencies. It is possible to set time schedules and track progress daily. It is also possible to print activity progress reports, Gantt charts and much more. you can link multiple projects to a single time schedule (daily tasks) which makes it very easy for me to be on par with the time schedules for many different projects. Pretty good tool MS project.

Nothing can beat pen and paper :)

For task management -
Code:
http://www.bulletjournal.com/

And for project management - Asana.

I have heard a lot about Zoho.

Zoho is really good - you can collaborate, have templates, milestone templates. But it's solely for project management, doesn't suit me for doing everyday tasks, that aren't part of a project.

For tasks I use the Eclipse Task List. It's based on mylyn.

For project management I use notepad.exe

Check out redmine or its fork chiliproject - both solid open source solutions...

I use OneNote for day-to-day task list management..
its really an awesome tool.
