I want to learn to make videos (animations) like this. What kind of software do I need ?

It's made with Adobe After Effects or Adobe Flash.

Its a character animation video. It can cost a bit if you outsource(300 bucks maybe for 1 min video. I am not sure but I think it can be done with Animation Softwares like Maya and video softwares like after effects. But that has a HUGE learning curve. Literally Huge and very tuff.
