What software can run applications?

Hi,

I'm looking at running a program on a VPS but I'm wondering
is there is any software out there, that can be used to run applications for me. I want to have a bot use the programmes for me while I sleep.

I have ubotstudio and imacros (developer editions) so I know abit but
I'm no professional. I thnk they can only browse the web though, not run
applications.

Quite many tools can run automatically while you sleep.

Well just for a simple example look as using any friend adder, you can't set them up to run on auto pilot, although I've now found one that does now.

In general you have to login and do alot of manual work every hour or so, I was just wondering if there was a tool that I could programme to carry out the same actions as myself. I looked at using imacros or ubot to login using logmein.com and get them to do the job, but they can ONLY do browsing commands, I've been able to get them to do a couple of small tasks on my desktop, but in general they just aren't built for running any applications.

I use a software called EzMacros by American Systems to do stuff like this. I usually leverage SQL or Excel with it so I can get it to fill in fields and such based on Excel. It records mouse and keyboard strokes and the newest version even exports to EXE. I bought it about 15 years ago for $20 and it was probably the single best investment I ever made. You can usually find it on torrent sites and such, but for $20 I'd buy it.

Can I ask you one question though...

The only thing I'm wondering is say I was using this to login to accounts on a
social network, drawing my info from excel.. that's all cool. But what happens when
an account is banned?

I see you can edit the ezmacro to form a kind of loop to go into ALL your accounts but
what do you do if your bot comes across a dead account? Just make sure they're all
alive before running it then? Just wondering if there's anything you can do, otherwise
the bot will stick every so often.
