What should you know before buying a proxy & how to verify it?

I’m new to buying proxies and doing tons of research on getting a proxy to run facebook ads but feel like I'm not doing it right.

I'm planning to get a static residential proxy but confused on how to verify if its a good proxy or not.
I am lost on how to really verify if the proxy truly is a residential proxy.

Before or after buying, I’ve read there is something about fraud scores and subnets and doing specific tests to determine if it's a good quality proxy.
I am lost on what scores I should look for and which websites to verify the proxy. Doing research I found that pixelscan and ipqualityscore can access your proxy if tested there.
Not sure if that's true.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

here are something you should consider when buying a proxy
- correct location
- correct timezone (for example, if you purchased us proxy but the location you check is UK with different timezone, it will raise suspension)
- speed
- blacklist. check if you proxy is fall into blacklist of google or cloudflare
- spam. remember to check this one because if your proxy is used for spam actions, it will be a huge "red flag"

Of course, even if it's not explicitly listed as something offered, don't be afraid to ask for a trial or test period so you can check for the details to look out for on a proxy. Even a 1 hour test is enough to determine most of that as well as check if the proxy works for your tools, etc.

To add, definitely check out some reviews to see if other users are happy with the proxy provider you’re looking at. And make sure they have solid customer support, just in case you run into any issues down the road.

Scamlytics and IPqualityscore are good metrics to check. Fraud scores generally do not matter. Its more checking to see if they detect it as a proxy
