Yes, very interesting plan. Going to test it out myself with a few domains. Always good to try something new, maybe it works better than my method.
What should I spend 150$ on?

Here is what you should do:
- spend $50-60 on pr4+ domains. you should be able to get a couple.
- spend $50 for 30-40x200 word blog posts (you can get them that cheap on BHW). use 20 posts per pr4 domain that you purchased. dripfeed if you want to.
- you could spend the rest for scrapebox if you want. use sb to build links to your just purchased pr4 domains
- DO NOT under any circumstances monetize these pr4 domains. they are only for links to your main sites. make them look like blogs that some goober built.
- keep doing this when you get more cash
Imho, spending alot of time building web 2.0 crap, bookmarks, profile links is largely a waste of time. Do this only as an auxillary link building activity. Focus on building a powerful linking network that you own and control.

Yep. As long as the links that are already pointing to your newly acquired pr4+ sites remain intact. That's why you want to keep building more links to them just in case. The anchor text pointing to your link network sites is irrelevant. You just want to build authority and pr. Your search engine rank for these sites is irrelevant. Try to get your pr even higher over time by adding content and links. Keep these sites on seperate hosting accounts and domain registrars (if possible). Register these sites with different info than your main site. No affiliate programs or adsense. Basically, do nothing that can possibly connect your link network to your main blog. Put some camouflage links on these sites (to high authority sites preferably) so that the outbound links aren't all going to your own site(s).
If you have a handful of your own high-pr sites pointing to your main site, your rankings will benefit immensely and your main site pr will go up.
And for those who say that pr doesn't matter...bullshit! PR is like currency, especially when it's time to sell your site. The paper that money is printed on isn't technically worth anything either. It's worth is determined by what people think it's worth. People place high value on sites with high pr. PR matters!

Just make sure that you do your due diligence. Check that the pr is valid, check the backlinks, check for pages on wayback machine, etc.

Sorry to OP for taking things a bit off topic, but since dfrancon already nudged things in the direction of handling high pr domains with kid gloves, I wanted to ask a question about that.
I had a blog that I built up to a PR4 over a *thinking* 7 month period using 100% whitehat methods 100% unique content. 2 weeks after renewing the domain, I switched hosts. I'd also gradually stopped posting as regularly as I'd been doing when the blog was brand new (though I'm not sure that that, in itself, influenced things drastically). Anyway, it soon went down to a PR3. What I'm wondering now is what is more of a major influencer (for future reference)?
Ok, so you do your due diligence and the PR is valid and the backlinks are verified so you go ahead and buy the aged, high PR domain. In YOUR opinion, what sorts of things should you then be worrying about to keep that PR up? It goes without saying that you should continue to add backlinks, as well as a bit of fresh content to show it's still alive, but is there a safer practice for switching hosting, etc.?
Since, in my personal case study, I'm not sure what exactly it was that brought the PR down on my blog, I'm particularly scared with the buying of a PR domain and then not "treating it right"

Otherwise have a big night out with the boys (or if your a chick go to a Spa) and go back to the drawing board. $150 is really small frym try and get $300 so you can hire a Bitch for a full month or buy LFE.

Remeber, this is a 100% white hat website, it is an eccommerce site.
I will either spend the 1k in ppc or will spend it on xrumer and take 2 weekss to figure out how to use it.

The manner of my business would not work with repeat customers.. Probably less than 1% even if I give them 75% off. Would work best with referalls.
