What should I sell in a mall kiosk???

Hi all,

I'm looking into opening a kiosk in a mall here. What do you think would be a good item to sell?

So far, my top choice would be to sell t-shirts with custom taken pictures. I would take the picture of the family or individual and then print it on the t-shirt. Not sure what to charge though. $20 for adult and $15 for kids?

What kind of ideas might you all have and where could I get the item you have in mind? I might try CPA at some point but for now I have to give them a product.

Any ideas?

There is a thread kicking about on here already with a break down of a black hatter who got friendly with a guy taking family photos I believe, the guy told him all about how it works etc. Seemed pretty profitable and not huge start up costs either.
 
I recently saw someone selling e-cigarettes at the mall. You could make a decent amount depending on your sales abilities and the smoking demographics at the mall. Even better--hire someone who is good at sales to sell them for you. Give them commission and take the rest of the money for yourself. (And then repeat for other malls...) You could probably get away with 100%+ markup if you buy them in bulk.
 
im sure the malls would love a 12" black dildo hanging from the kiosk, or maybe a life-like blow up doll so the children can ask mom and dad what the holes are for
 
I always see a lot of teenagers, a lot of teenage girls at the mall whenever I'm there. Granted they don't have as much buying power as older customers. But I guess if you know you will have a bunch of 30 somethings running past you I'd go for something to do with cell phones/computers that everybody needs or could benefit from, since everyone has one.
 
Ha! No food or alcohol or naughty things. ;)

There are already 2-3 cellphone related kiosks.

Anything else people? Something specific?
 
Make a deal with as many stores in the mall to have their logo
on the tshirt.

If the person wears the tshirt into the store and makes a purchase
they will receive 10% off :)

Then you can have a monthly drawing for a cool prize for anyone
who purchases a tshirt or hoodie with their picture on it :)
 
The first thing I though when I saw the title of this thread was big dildo's. It's funny that several others suggested it. Must be a popular niche. ;)

Get a wholesale tax ID card. Buy a bunch of fake jewelry, watches, chains

fake "bling"

I used to run a booth at a flee market & made bank but I no longer do this....Consider the Urban/HipHop crowd as well. Makes very good $$

Get a bunch of cheap earings, rings, bracelets, etc kind of like Claire's has (if you know what store that is) and target the young teenage crowd.
 
First thing I would do is go to as many malls are in your area. Even drive over 100 miles to visit all the malls. Spend an entire day(at each mall) studying people's shopping habits at each mall.

I used to nail this girl from Israel. She worked at one of those kiosks. In fact the company who owned them in all the malls was from Israel. They used to sell Soap(or skin) type products if I remember correctly. That freaking company made BANK!. They would ship all these people from Israel over who would come work in these Kiosks. They would pay for their rooms. They would rent like 10-20 apartments for all the people in this apartment complex. The workers would come over for like a year or so and make a lot of money and go back to Israel.

Anyways she used to tell me how much she made in commissions in a day. On average she made about $250 a day. But she told me about some of the really good salespeople were making $600 a day. Not just one day they got lucky they were doing it day in and day out. So Imagine what the company was making profit wise.

But these people are the annoying kiosks who harass everyone as they walk by.

Anyways just thought I would throw that out there since everyone else was wasting space commenting.
 
you can print on more then just t-shirts keep that in mind. girls love jonas brothers and twilight, kids love spongebob. Why not buy an airbrush kit and hire an airbrusher sell tshirts for $20 and give him x % for every t-shirt sold. buy an engraving machine and go cut down trees and mass produce incense holders and sell them to other buisness men. setup a kissing booth with a smoking hot girl $5 a kiss.
