What should I no index in thesis 1.7

Hi I download thesis 1.7 from here Im trying to seo it and a few websites are talking about certain things that you should no index in the options otherwise you may have dupe content issues.

Are there any experienced thesis owners that can clarify

Use All in one seo plugin to override Thesis, as suggested by the owner.
Thesis provide basic seo setting when there is no seo plugin.
