Hello BHW, I decided to start this topic, which is also a request for help. For some time, I’ve been thinking about starting a blog. However, I’ve never had a blog or a website before, so I’m a complete beginner. I know that before I start, self-study will be important — that would be my first step, to learn everything related to blogs and websites. But I have no idea where to begin, so I’d like to ask you, people from BHW, for help — which areas and concepts should I study? I just need to know what exactly I should learn first, and only then I’ll think about what to do next. Thank you for your advice and help.

Good move starting with learning first. Begin with the basics domain, hosting, and WordPress. Then learn a bit of SEO and content writing. Don’t overthink it, just start small and figure things out as you go. That’s how most of us learned

All the concepts are well covered for free on YT. Watch a bunch of videos. What it ultimately boils down to is your niche selection, keyword research and how consistently you can churn out helpful content.
The fundamentals of SEO are still the same.

Niche research, Keyword research, chatgpt prompt for blog post or human writing, setup blog post and interlinking, sharing blog posts on social media.
This will get you started.

Develop some patience. It will help a lot because google updates are a nightmare.

It’s better to first understand how blogs work, learn SEO basics, and watch how other blogs grow before starting.

First, learn about the niche. Then the basic things are domain hosting. After that, learn On Page SEO. After successfully publishing, you can start learning Off Page SEO.
Best of luck

Open a blog somewhere easy, like tumblr. Let them sort out server costs, and hosting configurations. You only concentrate on sharing and promoting content, and engaging with many other readers and visitors throuhg the platforms existing infrastructure. Something you WON'T get with a wordpress blog.

First define your blog’s purpose and target audience. The best idea would be to choose a specific niche (like travel, tech, lifestyle etc.) to stand out and attract a dedicated readership. You may want to research your niche to understand what topics resonate and what gaps you can fill.

Thank you very much for your advice guys, I appreciate it.

Master the essentials: niche research, keyword strategy, basic HTML, and on-page SEO. Blogging is easy once you know how to structure value and visibility together.

Wordpress and elementor at first and then some SEO. Take small steps and break the knowledge into smaller chunks. You can also learn from udemy courses which are structured for a specific aspect that you need to understand slowly and easily.

The best option is to choose a niche and write about your experience in that niche. This is the best and easiest way to start a blog. People will enjoy reading it because your experience is unique.

i would say begin with learning wordpress, a bit of seo and how to create good content, the rest you’ll pick up as you go

You should learn basic SEO. This will help even if you choose to buy SEO service from a seller.

Start with the basics: platforms & hosting, WordPress, basic SEO, content creation, images, analytics, and security.

Another key thing is practice: start writing on your blog right away. You’ll make mistakes, but that’s normal! Apply what you learn as you go: success isn’t guaranteed, but you’ll learn much faster doing and fixing.

your message look like ai generate but you should learn first how to write content that shows some value to the readers and than learn about some cms to handle your posts
