What should I focus on now?

Hi,

I recently started a new blog a couple months ago. The only SEO done to it is d0follow signature links and a couple web 2.0s that haven't been indexed yet. I have around 600 links total only.
Most of the traffic comes from social media, a quarter from search.

I currently have around 40 articles on my site.
My question is, should I focus on putting more content on the site or to start building links?

I plan to build links to my site through manual d0follow blog comments and more web 2.0s if I can find a way to index them faster.
I've also bought an expired domain and am planning to hopefully start a PBN.

However, I think 40 articles isn't enough to bring in organic traffic via longtails so maybe I should focus on putting up more content?

Any thips/advice? Thanks

IMHO, Don't try blog comments, just focus on content & social media optimization also you can do web2.0 as part of SEO...

Write High Quality Article For Your Site And Do Social Media Optimization , Which This Way Surely Will Work For You..
 
I made a blog on 1st February 2014, then 1 more later I got full approved by adsense. I never build links because I don't have enough money, never commenting on related niche because it really boring me, never share it to social media because I hate it. Now I got around 7k page view/day they are organic traffic from Big G, Yahoo! Search, and Bing search. You should write 40% for SE and 60% for human. This is work for me as a noob. ;)
 
Add maximum contents in the beginning as much as you can. Start marketing your blog or site on social media and other sites like directories, articles sites etc...Make backlinks to make place in google! But use ******** LINKS otherwise links would be dead.

How many articles do you have?
Also are your keywords hard and how many monthly searches for your kw?
That's a lot of views considering you don't have links . Props
 
I think you should more focus on content in your site. Add more content and do social media optimization. Forum posting and Web 2.0 will also help you.
 
Apart from content sharing and social media promotions, you can try to provide some free giveaways like free e-books, PDF etc to attract users towards your blog.

There are many different case among bloggers. I don't know about SEO but I love what I wrote. I have about 35 article, I don't know why but my KW is easy to rank even if some Pro Blogger wrote about same topic in past I kicked them out. Stupid alexa rank show me only 11 BL on it. Some BL from secure server and others from DMCA protections link. :p

I know Big G don't have eyes but it is very genius. I write article using my hand minimum 1k characters and didn't use my mouse I mean don not copying and paste, make sure your site is fast (important for me) and the theme is responsive. Then sit back and relax, let Search Engine work for you to send people reading and clicking ads on your site. Once again I do this as a noob :o
 
Only quantity is not important, Quality also needs to be good.
So combining quality and quantity will easy your task and also do social media optimization.
You can also think on giving free e-book as well.
 
Coninue to make quality content, and try to submit your blog into few good directories (PR>3) to get backling
Also, submit your blog to search engines....
Try to make connection wih other bogger...
 
Definitely you should focus more on content and more to Quality Content, so don't stop doing that.
Add as many content as you can, and focus more on social media optimization.
Rest will follow.
