what kind of message are you trying to get the code by, is it an error message or something else?

You can receive the code via email or phone number. Please double-check the email and phone number you registered with your account.

if fb isnt showing sms as an option its usually because the number on the account is voip and they already know it, they just hide the sms route for those. try email if its linked, otherwise youll need to add a real mobile number first. voip barely gets the code path on fb anymore
