What services to offer as a freelancer

I hope you're all doing well. I've been trying to make money online for some time, like a few years, and from all those years maybe a few weeks I've been totally focused on something. It's not that I've switched methods, cuz it's been 1.5 years trying to make money with an agency but obviously, it ain't easy. I've learned a lot of stuff throughout the way, like automation software, some copywriting, website building with different website builders, Facebook ads, google ads, landing page, and funnel creation with all the follow-ups required for lead gen, maybe touched a bit of CRO in ecom websites, had to deal with lead scraping, data entry and many other stuff. I don't specialize in many of those but I feel confident enough to offer them. Trying to make big money I made none, so now from things went I need money, I'm not trying to make $10k in the first month like before but now even $500 would make a difference, if done within a month. I'm setting up my UpWork account and was looking for some ideas on what I could offer that would make me able to make get to $2-3k within like 3 months, It sounds pretty realistic to me, but knowing there are many people here who know way more than me I'm open to for all sort of advice. I mentioned what I have some skills in so you guys can suggest some services that are worth offering as a freelancer.

We are here the noise about agencies but most of them are just Glorified Freelancers.

I appreciate any advice, tips, or personal experiences you can share. Thank you in advance for your guidance. I look forward to learning from this wonderful community.

Offer what you're the best at, but keep in mind it's rough out there and you absolutely need to have something special to offer in order to make even 50 bucks. Anything i might need i can find a freelancer to do it, either for very cheap or very expensive. So you have to ask yourself "Why me? Why not the 100 million of other freelancers out there? What do i have to offer that there is a shortage of?". Ask yourself that question. Right now you don't even know what you wanna do, which is a very bad start and a very bad sign. You simply need money. In your condition it's probably easier to get that money working offline than online.

$500 might seem like a pretty attainable amount of money working online, but it isn't. It's 100 times easier to make that offline than online. Anyone making 500 bucks a month online is already part of the less than 1% that succeed at making any money at all on the internet.

So, you really need to get very, very, very good at something. Then you need to offer something that's either better or way cheaper than what's out there. And that's incredibly hard. That's why most freelancers fail.
 
Whatever you're good at or knowledgeable in, offer a consultation service around that since that requires no overhead and just time.

You can try logo/brand creation too using AI as well.

You can resell services you find here on BHW.

A lot of ways to go about it.

These two statements in such proximity is a sign for a problem.

Choose a service, focus on it. You will never land a big client by doing many things at a low level, and you'll have to work twice as hard on sales because you won't be able to retain them for long enough.

As you mentioned that you are not specialized in any service, I would suggest you to focus any of one service and be best in that.

Expertise in a single skill will get you high earnings for sure in long term.
 
Just pick a specific niche that you are good at

If you don't have a confident answer to this, no offence but the answer at this time is probably none. There are enough mickey mouse freelancers out there. Some of them are so bad at what they do it could easily be classed as false advertising and even a borderline scam or fraud even if it wasn't their intent

I would recommend you to choose something you already know. This will help you to become motivated in the first couple of months. Then you could learn top skills and become a consultant.
 
If you are interested in multiple topics, consider specializing in a field that integrates knowledge from diverse subjects at a fundamental level. For example, Project Managers should possess broad knowledge in various topics.
 
You're as likely to become a good freelancer as you're likely to become good at some trade.

You may do things as simple as gardening and as complicated as offering healthcare and law related services.

Just anything that is a one time / not a full time job can be called freelancing.

If you don't have a special skill that took 4+ years of hard work, you're better off working at a local factory.

The only thing you can do without being master is data entry. Anything else from that list, nobody will want you as you'd probably struggle with more specialized tasks and driving results.
