Indeed, internal linking is still underrated. I have seen how older pages get impressions fast when linked by contextual links on stronger pages.

yes they get impressions but not enough leads and the right method will alway convert i understand that part

For me it was fixing internal linking on old posts, just linking newer content back from high traffic

Dusting up once performing pages by relinking beneficial links to them works wonders. Though it takes a while for them to pick up but they eventually do

Fixing internal link orphan pages and updating old anchor texts with relevant contextual links usually brings a surprisingly fast lift. Small tweaks to internal architecture often move the needle faster than building new links
the little change that amazed me was doing internal linking between rellevant blogs. i did not think that it would be such a huge change for my blog bcz it improved how google understood the structure of my blog. the little things can indeed sometimes make a huge impact.

Truly improving weak internal linking has been my greatest surprise at this point of tym. a minor adjustment in the way that the pages links to each other can often shift multiple key words without even altering the actual content.

an interesting nd successful way to improve performance for me was making changes in the beginning of the article.i tried to make the introduction respond to the question in a more effective manner without creating an additional build up.this appeared to be a very minor change in content but still resulted in some impprovements in terms of user engagement.
What I did was simply fix a few orphans and put some reasonable internal links. It was not that much to write home about, but rankings began improving within a couple of weeks.
