What SEO and link building tactics to avoid for Online Ecommerce Store?

I'm new to this forum and want to make sure I don't do something wrong that would hurt my online retail store that's been running for almost 2 years now.

Is it ok to use those services in the marketplace that has those 50 .edu backlinks, $5 50000 backlinks, $3 1000 blog posts?

I'm just concerned if people search the name of my site on google and see it listed on weird sites.

To avoid...a godzillion of shite links all magically appearing at once..
"rule of thumb"...new site..start building links slowly...since your site is not new and has backlinks..? you should be fairly safe.If you are buying packages..try for diversity in types/ip etc..and..make sure you use something like linklicous etc..say if you have bought 4 different types of links..linklicous default setting is 40 links a day..so..as each campaign is finished..(we are talking 4 for arguments sake)set each campaign for 10 links per day..which is only a safe 40 links becoming "seen" by G as links..and then slowly ramp it up.
Then is next to zero of joe public seeing your site links from anything other than the stray bookmarking site link..so what..most times..the keywords you are gaming for are so competitive..there is little chance of a crappy splog page will be found ranking on the first 2 pages with your link/blog comment etc.
Please no retards telling me they have seen a splog page ranking..I am taking big numbers/averages not outliers so dont bother..

Don't buy xrumer blasts off fiverr either.
