You get a little popup alert up where you profile link is (little bell icon), that when you click tells you there has been updates. All your non inbox notifications appear here.

I swore I saw some tab in the account section that had a feed of updates for the threads I was watching. Now I can't find it.

I think an alternative is going to /watched/threads
