The other night, while browsing Craigslist, I stumbled upon this 'ad' and after reading it, almost had to laugh...

Feel free to post your thoughts/opinions...would love to hear what others have to say about this!

Personally..for what Wordpress offers in the way of SEO implementation, as well as the vast majority of other 'marketing related' plug-ins...I don't know why anyone would NOT USE Wordpress!

What the... ? I use Wordpress on my BRANDED authority sites. Custom theme/plug-ins makes it really hard to even tell.. Please post this guy's ad/info I would love to message him and explain to him personally, why he needs to shut the fuck up. Also upselling Wordpress? lol this guy is a clown.

Yeah, I have custom built sites in Wordpress and you would never know they're Wordpress.

sounds like he's preying on "dumb" people imo.

Yep but a lot of people are ignorant to how websites are built and all that. He's probably just going to build them a WP site and then manage the CMS for them for an extra fee.

That's a smart idea actually, but I still vote to shove a cactus up his rear.

For those interested, here's the actual CL ad:
Title: WEBSITE DESIGN NO SEO UP SELLING & NO SEO FAKE CLAIMS!
URL:
Code:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/biz/3353514935.html

IF..and I do mean IF...anyone does respond/contact this tool (IMHO that is)...I'd love to hear what the response is!

The problem people have with wordpress usually isn't wordpress but insecure Wordpress installs or exploitable plugins. I've spoken with several businesspeople who regretted choosing (or being talked into) wordpress for various reasons, including waking up to "hacked by" messages or finding hidden Viagra links on their contact page who wanted a conversion to a static site on the not-entirely-baseless assumption it would be more secure.

wtf is wrong with having a site done in Dreamweaver lol. If you're not using Dreamweaver and you're not using Wordpress, what are you using? Drupal?
