What PS3 games should I get?

The gf is getting me one for my birthday, what games should I buy?

thinking Call of Duty 3

I like classic games too like Crash Bandicoot (one of main reasons why Im buying ps3) so what are some fun classic games too

I really enjoyed Red Dead Redemption, you should be able to pick it up second hand really cheap as new as there was a promotion where it was coming with the PS3 and all the mothers sold it.

I also recommend GTA4 - such a classic game and you should really play it before the new one comes out atleast.

No one can answer what games you should buy. Its a personal choice and depend on your character. You can try BF3, Assasin Creed and Fight Night. My favorite is Tekken.

Tekken + twisted metal were a lot of fun

Elder Scrolls SKYRIM 11/11 Cannot Wait

Arkham City was amazing. Go for that. Best game I've played in a long while.

Battlefield 3

Call of Duty MW3 is being released next Tuesday, definately get that.

God of War 3.What else?

Archam City, Dead Space 2 (kinda old but I love it. so f*ckin scary!)

And any Uncharted game. Preferably Uncharted 3

Most def get god of war 3. All of the assassin's creed games too.

MW3. If you're a football guy, Madden 12.

Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 .. By the time you have completed them, thanks to their addictiveness, it will be time for Uncharted 3 .. Which is out on Wednseday

you should try PRINCE OF PERSIA-the forgotten sands.

Since you're just getting it now, you'll have an insane selection of games to choose from, and you'll be able to get most of them for dirt cheap by now.

The obvious answer is indeed Uncharted 1-2 (I think there's even a bundle with both of them) and now 3. They're really awesome, cinematic shooters, you'll have a blast playing them!

Here are a few more PS3 exclusives you might want to check out:

Infamous 1-2 (really great 3rd person adventures with an electric superhero)
Resistance trilogy
Ratchet and Clank games
God of War 3 (epic!)
Heavy Rain (very unique, definitely worth a check)

If you like driving games:
Motorstorm 2 or Apocalypse
Gran Turismo 5 (more realistic)
Modnation Racers (easily accessible, great for splitscreen matches, maybe with your gf)

Oh, and you should definitely get LittleBigPlanet 2, this is also mainly for local co-op, an amazing game, don't let the art style fool you, you and your gf will seriously have a blast playing it!

So these are the top PS3 exclusives I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure I'm still missing a few awesome titles, not to mention the gems that you can only get from the PSN Store. And remember, these are only the PS3 exclusives, if you didn't have a 360 or gaming PC this generation, then there is at least twice as many games you definitely shouldn't miss.
