What program are people using to do speed drawing of logos?

I use Sparkol to make whiteboard videos. But lately I have seen people making speed drawing videos of logos and images. The hand paints them in and draws them out. Are they doing something to the photo in photoshop first and then put it in Videoscribe? Or is it a totally different program all together people are using. If anyone knows.

I don't know about speed....but I use adobe illustrator to create logos. This creates them in vector format and makes filling them with color an instant process.

Amen to the above, you could do Photoshop but that would take way longer and lossless quality with pixels. Also this but haven't checked it out personally myself. https://inkscape.org/en/
 
Everyone, OP is talking about those whiteboard animation videos, which is why this is in the video production section.

Here's a whiteboard animation video I created in Adobe Premiere Pro and Whiteboard Sketch Video for my business. It was the first video I made with the WSV software.

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about.
 
Just in case someone else PM's me about how I made that video, I did the following:

  1. I used Easy Sketch Pro to create a sketch of my company logo (the "S") first.
  2. I then exported the sketch file and created a new Adobe Premiere Pro project.
  3. I oriented the sketch file to the left of the video (not the frame, but the video itself), and a soon as the sketch file was about to end, I created a single-sided transition on my normal logo over the video.
  4. As soon as the logo appeared, I then added the rest of the company name on the same layer as the sketch file (since the sketch file ended and they wouldn't overlap) and I added another single-sided transition on that clip, albeit slightly faster than the one on the logo.
  5. I also made sure to align everything everything in the video with the audio soundtrack.

Dunno with images but if you want to do speed drawing for logos in sparkol you should make it first in svg format. This is available in Adobe Illustrator.
 
explaindio and easysketchpro both do whiteboard animation videos, i use both. Basically you load a svg file in and they draw it for you, you can set the hand and the speed. Easy to draw and write text. Explaindio can write text over videos also
 
Personnally I like Explaindio.

I am far to use all the features of this cool tool
but for now it is more than enough to fit my needs.

You can find in the forum a lot of extra stuff such as
  • music tracks
  • vector images
  • animated backgrouds
  • mascots
  • etc.

Simply YouTube it & you will get tons of creative suggestions.

I have used most of the whiteboard softwares over the years, but the way those guys implement the Explaindio is quite versatile in my opinion.

Your file needs to be SVG. I use Videoscribe and import it
