Hello guys,

I'm in the process of buying a domain name from a broker and he wants $ 1,500 for it. I don't want to overpaying, so I'm looking for an opinion here.

The main reason I want to buy it, is because the domain is catchy, brandable and aged (circa 2003), and fits very well with my website.

Below are the current stats of the domain!

Thanks!

Judging by these stats (in my own, non professionell opinion) the price is way too high.

The broker value the domain name itself ( brandable) not the seo value and here everyone will tell you it's not worth at all ( SEO )

Yeah I just looked at the domain itself, I'd pass at that price lol - on that note, you might wanna censor that 2nd image a bit more if trying to hide the domain, it's easy to find by going to those URLs and looking for that anchor text.

Thanks for your answers, guys!

It's sure is overpriced. Just checked the domain and backlinks aren't that great either.

Number of referring domain is also not something to be proud of and spam score is 4.

For that price, you can get a better domain name with good links.

As stated before. If you are looking for a domain to purchase it's a good idea to blur more information on the second picture as I found the exact domain and you don't want a company like Google who comes here all the time to penalize you. On that note, I looked at the domain name itself and it's not a bad brand name domain. However.... the price is high for a name like that. I would value that domain around 250-400 range on a good day. The backlinks portion? Debatable. Some look credible, some look spammy or thrown together intention or potentially unintentional. As the SEO for the domain name. It's going to be rare anyone types that keyword directly in Google or has any benefits from the site name itself. If it has a lot of higher ranking SERP's I would expect those to come off eventually as well as it has pretty weak domain power.

100% not worth it. Isn't even that brandable either, the seo is weak.

If the domains is brandable and you see potential, go back with a counter offer.

The broker will factor in his huge profit / commission too, but it looks seriously overpriced on those stats.

What's your niche? Programming? do let me know, and I can help you come up with a great fresh domain name in inbox.

As people said the SEO score is not so great, why not buy a new one and invest the money for SEO in that if you feel you're overpaying?

I would pay just 200 usd for that. there's not really good seo value besides the short name

Sorry, but I had no intention of doing that! I'm just a newbie (duh!) and I didn't know you could find a domain name that easy (my mistake). Already reported this post and now I'm waiting for a moderator's response.

dude just give it a miss lol. Not worth 1500 dollars for one link expired domain.

Not a professional but I think you'll be overpaying him if you agree to his $1500 deal.

price is too high, use another email and send him the price you want to pay.
do this with 4 or 5 emails to change his mind
wait at least a few days before sending another email
