Every social platform gives some built-in analytics, but some are more helpful than others.
For example, YouTube Studio is detailed, while Instagram Insights feels limited unless you have large data.

So I’m curious:
Which social network provides analytics that actually help you improve your content?

Which ones feel useless or misleading?

I like X because it gives a surprising amount of sortable data. You have to pay though.

I haven't used too many platforms recently but fresh off memory, I'd say for native analytics, Youtube probably has the best there is. It's got retention curves, CTR, reach stats search terms, etc. Pretty much any data that actually tells you point per point what to fix on your content.
TikTok is next according to associates and I think TikTok might be down there with just usuable but basic analytics.

TikTok Analytics is also solid for spotting watch time trends and best posting hours. Instagram Insights looks nice but feels shallow unless you’ve got big engagement it’s hard to pull real patterns from small data.

YouTube and TikTok are easily the most useful for me – YouTube Studio for retention/CTR and TikTok for showing exactly which videos hooked and where people dropped. X/Twitter is decent for testing hooks fast (impressions vs engagement), but Instagram Insights is pretty mid unless you already have big volume – lots of feel good numbers, not much that actually tells you why something worked. So I use YT/TikTok to actually improve content, and treat IG stats as vanity/confirmation more than strategy.

YouTube and Pinterest have the most useful analytics for improving content. Instagram and TikTok feel limited unless you already have big numbers.

Instagram creator account has a good anayltics page. However, you would need to convert your account from regular to creator (or business) page.

Treat analytics as guidance rather than absolute truth, focusing on the metrics that clearly reflect audience behavior liike watch time, saves, or retention because following meaningful signals instead of noisy data leads to smarter decisions and stronger long-term growth.
