I have a plugin that says 4-5% keyword density is the best. Not sure if this is true, so I wanted to hear what others have to say..

I've asked a few people and they've told me that 4-5% is wayy to high and you will get penalized by Google.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what's worked with them in regards to keyword density?

    Regards,
    Ken

2% to 4% is what I consider safe.

    I recommend a maximum of 7 times.

If you can, do it 2-3 times.

Most of my content doesn't even have an exact match on the keyword.

You may notice your rankings drop if you put over 7 in. At least, that's what i've found.

i thought 5% was fine but i guess not.

2% - 3% seems fine though as well.

is this for a 500 word article?

i heard some people use 10% before!
