PayPal is just too widespread to ignore it... Pretty much everyone who buys things on the internet has a pp account! They suck badly, and one complaint can freeze up your business, but there really is no way around them in terms of widespread use.

More commonly used are PayPal and 2Checkout as well as Google Wallet. I prefer PayPal easier to use, just that the transaction fees argh!

IF your setting up an ecommerce store you will want to offer paypal as well as directly processed credit/debit card payments via your merchant account and 3D secure.

Moneybookers good. Also, try to get direct payment using credit card payment gateways. You can avoid fees from money processing portals.
