I use a plain text TXT file which I keep on the PUBLIC folder of my wordpress site. Is this secure?
It is a bit secure if nobody knows your WordPress site. If that is a huge authority site with lots of traffic, then expect the file and password to be discovered right away. Yes, I know you're joking BTW.

Lastpass on windows/linux.
Keychain (or what ever fcuk that is called) on mac.

What the gun has to do with hacking your pc
It's hard to find the person that hacked you
And if you did it he can be from a country that is too far from you.
So better safe than sorry

If someone hacks your PC, they own it, and they can just wait for you to open up your password manager and keylog you while you're typing the password (or just save the file in the background after you decrypt it)

Encryption doesn't protect against hacking much if you're actually using the password manager.

iCloud Keychain and the one that comes built in with Google Chrome.

@Calithran
Why should anyone bother to move all of the passwords from Google Password Manager to something like Bitwarden? Is it that much unsafe?

All of the articles or youtube videos on this topic do not explain anything in particular. They are just promoting their affiliate links to the paid managers.

What Google offers is just so convenient and sexy on any device, I can resist that :oops:
