So far i've found that the following disallow indexing of new blogs until you pay up:

Weebly
Jimdo
Livejournal (maybe)

Which other ones also do this and are therefore useless?

Did you check the allow search engines part of weebly?

I have a website ranking in Weebly, it is older, but it ranks in Google and has for about 4 years now on the first page for a very obscure search term that gets hit on quiet a bit.

Both weebly and jimdo are still get indexed in google.

I have been using Weebly for quite sometime and yeah it gets indexed. I also find their SEO settings quite extensive.

Yeah sucks about weebly, any new accounts that are made are now no index. Glad I made a couple before they made the change.

EDUblogs was set to noindex for new accounts as well back awhile ago in Jan 2015 . Terrible as it was a great platform. I think it is the same deal with Weebly you need to pay premium in order to have its meta change to index mode.

Jimdo - I read here that you need to post 5 articles before it gets switch. I tested it out 2 months ago and posted 4 unique articles over a 5 week period before it finally getting index. I also had to send some soft bookmarks/links and social to it. My other Jimdo which has 6 articles is still not index but I did post the articles quicker so maybe thats why? I dont know, you have to test yourself and report back. Tough beast to index.

I have had no problem with Jimdo or weebly being indexed.
I haven't used livejournal(didn't realize it was still around).

All web2.0's are indexable in Google.
But some of them have blocked external links to get indexed... Run SpyGlass report on all you web 2.0 links. You will know which site is good and one is not

What now about weebly?
I am confused?
Should I make account with them or now ?
