What tools do people use to access the onsite SEO of a site? At the moment I just correct any errors showing in WMT but it isn't exactly the best approach. I'm looking for something like the onsite tools that come with open site explorer pro account but something I don't need to fork out $100 per month for as I have a rank tracker and link analysis tool already.

I think he means more analysis tools not plugins used for optimising your content.

I tried IBP a few years ago but didn't use it long as I found it too bloated. I believe there's been some changes and I'm about to try it again as I'm looking for something like this too.

Code:
http://www.ibusinesspromoter.com/

Linkassistant website auditor, does a great job and don't understand why most people don't use it, especially like it's ability to pull your top ten competitors meta data so you can compare how they are optimizing their on page factors.

Thanks but anything more specific to onsite SEO? This seems more of an all round SEO tool

Thanks. I have SEO Powersuite and i use Website Auditor too. Any better tools for onsite SEO?

For a very brief run through, I found this an interesting read although it does take a lot of social factors into account and is not all about H1, H2 and so on if that's all you want.

Code:
http://marketing.grader.com

And then there's link assistant in the downloads section on this forum which does give a lot of detail when it comes to H1, H2 and much, much more!

Code:

Enjoy :D

EDIT: Oh I'm sorry just realised you posted you already use link assistant, I'll leave the link there for others in any case. I'll keep you posted if I find anything with more detail than link assistant as I'm testing other things myself too.

Ive started using that SEO Yoast plugin to optimize my pages, and have been quite pleased with ranking results. Simple but effective.

Try these:

Woorank.com
marketing.grader.com
ahrefs.com
opensiteexporer.org
semrush.com
majesticseo.com
seojack.com/onpage-seo-tool/
internetmarketing*****s.com/seo-tools/free-optimization/

There isnt really one tool to do all this, your best bet is to run these tools and then use that info to decide what changes (if any) you should make to onpage SEO (as well as offpage SEO)

I use "SEO Localize - The Ultimate SEO Wordpress Plugin"
