If someone ask what can make them money? can you tell them about your company and maybe sign them up....affiliate? or is that against the rules?

That is a very tricky subject indeed. Often the line between "helping" someone and advertising your product or service publicly without paying to have it placed in the Buy/Sell/Trade section becomes very blurred.

For the definitive answer on that, you would need to hear it from an Administrator, such as HaRRo or Pofecker.

I have found it much more personal and effective to take this as an opportunity to send a nice PM rather than posting an affiliate link in the thread.

If someone is asking for the information then they should be open to you contacting them.

If someone helps me out, then I don't have a problem with signing up under them. Usually though they have helped me quite a bit so I feel like I should.
