From ZDNet:

"According to Hitwise, the US market share of Internet traffic to the top 20 social networking sites grew by 11.5 percent from January to February 2007, to account for 6.5 percent of all Internet traffic in February 2007. Perhaps unsurprisingly, MySpace is still the heavyweight in a market made up of featherweights, with an 80% share. Facebook is MySpace's closest challenger with 10% of the market."

Myspace is dead, and some of these are pay sites, but what do you guys think?

no problem, for a complete list of the sites out there, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites

Any suggestions? Let the bots fly...

I think I see a new bot on the horizon. :D

Never know man. I'm personally developing a Nexopia marketing application.

Oooooh Canada.... :D - http://www.nexopia.com

1.1 million users and rising...

Awesome!
After using the faceparty bot I'm sold.
I am curious could 2 or 3 diff. bots run on the same puter at the same time. Or just play the diff. time zones and use one at a time? Seems like around 1,000 post I have to pause the faceparty bot and clean out my browser history and cookies cause everything gets very slow. After I clean it I am good to go.

Really? What version of IE do you have installed? I could integrate a timer that clear your IE browser history at a given interval. Would you recommend that for a service update?

I think you hit the nail on the head with Orkut. Bo jumped on that idea immediately.

My picks:

Site - Registered Users

Badoo - 13 million
Bebo - 21.3 million
Facebook - 97.8 million
Fotolog - 12.6 million
Friendster - 58 million
Habbo - 86 million
hi5 - 70 million
iLike - 25 million
imeem - 16 million
LiveJournal - 12.9 million
Netlog - 32.4 million
Nexopia - 1.1 million
Tagged.com - 30 million
Windows Live Spaces (formerly MSN Spaces) - 40 million

Facebook search is by school, not sure if that method of filtering a demographic could be marketable. I'm sure you could profit from it, but would enough people be interested enough to buy a bot for it?

A lot of sites have odd "Browsing" features that connect users with an ambiguous but specific detail that doesn't give much away much information about the user, unlike myspace where u can genetically engineer your target, lol.

Taking suggestions :D

Well as I told you and mentioned to others, I'm trying out facebook right now so I will get back with those results and see if its possible to make an application for it.

Also orkut will be a great addtion. :D

Lets see what the poll says and go from there.

Remember the site must have the feature so you can browse members! ;)

Hey Frequency,
Yes that would be a good update to clear out the browsing hx. after say 500 messages or what ever the user sets it to. I have IE using vista Not sure which IE version. What ever was on my puter when purchased last yr. Vista Was new when I got it.

How is MySpace dead if it gets 80% of all social networking traffic?

Sounds like IE7, but you can always goto Help > About Internet Explorer in the file menu of the program and view the specific version number there. Make sure to update to the most recent versions. Also consider increasing your cache size (or decreasing it, see what works) and if that still doesn't clear it up permanently I might consider a patch.

Dead as in its overcrowed with bots and people's ad's.

Exactly. The CTR is absolutely horrible. Many other networks remain to be tapped...

I hate the fact that myspace is nothing but full of spams. ><

Orkut !!aye!! Aye!!! not to forget about having immense amount of Indians n Brazilian's is now growing leaps and bounds
