When it comes of using a mouse, quality matters the most in terms of smooth handling and scrolling, optical mouse from A4 tech is smooth and suits my budget as wel; go try dat thing..

I used to have fancy-schmancy gaming mouses when i was a big gamer but decided to try to spend time on the pc a little more constructively. Right now just using the generic Microsoft mouse which works OK. The newer Dell mouse is smaller but seems a lot cheaper IMHO. Still, it works too.

I bought the same for $10 and the mouse die for 1 week Now i have simple Logitech. To be honest i do not like mouses with more than 2 buttons.
