Ok, I don't understand how the hell is google's ranking system working...
for many days now I'm looking for new niche and comparing domains, I don't see any metrics who seems more important than any others... neither the DA/PA nor the CF/TF, not even the backlinks seems to have any effect.

There is about 30K search/month for these two KWs
This first site with 1 backlink is linked to 404 page...

The on-page optimization seems more important than any metrics... what do you think ?

Content really matters to attract the audiences and improve the on-page optimization and DA/PA/TF and CF are also factors.
Improve the link building those will help to rank.
That plus you need Social Media Signals also known as (Pins, Tweets, Shares on Facebook, Likes, Linkedin shares, etc)
Nowadays there are a few steps you gotta take when trying to rank
1. High-Quality Backlinks ->> Coming from Domains with high DA/TF, etc.
2. High-Quality content ->>> On-Page SEO optimization for the keywords (not keywords stuffing)
3. Get an ad running ->>> Traffic matters a lot
4. Internal links ->>>> extremely important factors even though many people are not aware
5. External links ->>> Make sure to link to related topics/blogs/websites
This is just a part of the whole work but this summary should help you.

Now I know how our monkey ancestors, thousands of years ago, used to look at the sky, trying to grasp what the stars are and how the sun works.

Google doesn't give a single flying fuck about your metrics. It doesn't care about your PA DA KEK WTF LEL MC FS TF RD anything.

Why the fuck is every single day on this forum someone trying to find a connection that does not and will never exist?

It's so hard to wrap your head around the fact, that there are hundreds of variables that you will never know, in order to determine what ranks and what doesn't?

I know that most people need simplicity in their lives and not understanding a relatively simple concept makes them wet at night, but thinking that you can determine the ranking power of a site by a single random number, no.

The sooner you get over it, the better.

And the funny fact is, that most users here have no idea how those metrics even work.

CF is a spam metric mate. Spam. The higher the metric, the worse it is.

TF is not a power metric at all. If you want a power metric, go for DR.

Reading threads like this is better than morning coffee to wake you up. Gee.

When looking at a domain, I always pay attention to the number of domains that refer to the target domain. I also check the amount of IP that relates to the domain. In addition, DA and PA should be similar to each other.

1. No metric matter
2. Relevancy is the king - Say you have a money site about baseball bats and you find a SPORTS blog with 0 DR/DA/TF --- then its a perfect link
3. A link from a site which is already ranking is a good link
4. You cannot "conclude" SEO, like we used to do, anymore. You cant just pit a 1000 word article, make some 30 links, repeat keyword in title, heading, alt etc and see the site ranking on top in 3 4 weeks...thats not how things are working now a days

I prefer you to choose DR over other metrics. But even you need to check the backlinks of a site that has high DR.

The only metric that matter is the one that has $ in front of it.

Your own manual analysis is the best metric.
