What methods for growing Instagram actually work in 2020?

I don't know anything about any IG methods, but I do have a 200k follower channel that I want to grow.

I have subscription to later.com and can schedule posts. Posting 3x a day during peak times is not a problem.

But I notice I have hardly any engagement for my posts and am getting hardly any new followers despite choosing objectively good content.

So what blackhat / grey hat methods are there? What actually works in 2020? Not talking about generic Gary Vee normie stuff like "be active" "answer posts!", that's a given.

I've noticed that for a small IG channel with 2k followers all of my tags show my posts (very niche).

But for my big channel 200k followers it gets shown in none of the tags. I want to grow this big channel right now. It is in DIY, handmade nice.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Id suggest using smaller hashtags if you dont ge to the explore page, youll have better chances there.

As for black/grayhat idk, as instagram is cracking down on f/u and liking pretty hard. I prefer organic growth.

How do I find which hashtags to use best?
 
Use hashtags that are relevant to your niche and comparable in size to your account
Interact with niche-related users
Follow a structure for posting utilizing different post types and key times
Mother/Slave is still working for people - Giveaways can grow the slaves
Shoutouts
User-generated content
and more!

Botting is getting much harder and IG looks like white-hat is the way to go.
 
A new trend that is growing and working like a charm is Story Viewers and Massvotings. Those are helping accounts crazyyyyy.

I can recommend them all the way. That's also one of the biggest secrets of many Social Media Agencys.

Not sure if there are services like that on BHW.

I usually just search for my niche on instagram and look what other people are using or search for the hashtag and then check out related ones. And then related ones of those and so on ;)

Hashtags in the beginning then later do shout-outs. Hire a VA to take care of your accounts!

You're not the only one, I was talking with a buddy of mine that runs two accounts with combined follower numbers of ~300k, he said that he noticed Instagram as been dropping his engagement rate badly on both ends, also take not this guy doesn't use any blackhat strategies, organic growth. He said that most likely reason is Instagram as got to the point where they're squeezing business owners/influencers now to pay for adds ads.

I'd recommend you hire a VN maybe one in a third world country to grow your account manually, and allocate some money for ads perhaps $10 a month, just to add some credibility to your page with regards to how Instagram sees it.

Be careful with botting its getting harder and harder to do.
 
IG is killing engagement because it wants you to pay for their traffic, just like they killed facebook fan pages they are slowly killing IG.
 
I think now you need to pay them if you want to grow fast. Sad but true but the organic growth thing has got over now.
