Well we can all agree that working online isn't a dream job anymore, guess it's time for us to find a real job and move on with our lives.
Like everything in life, real jobs aren't guaranteed too. The best thing is to strive to build a business that'd outlive you

Flipping domains made me my first money online

Promoting a CPA offer (email optin) from Maxbounty and blasting FB groups related to the niche.

You got a point, but it's really hard for me to do it with only 100$ in my bank account while having 1000$ in depts.

My first online money came in early 00's selling domains and blogspot-blogs (lol) filled with loads of content.
I think my first forum where i've registered was DigitalPoint at that time, haha.

I earned $4 from Fiverr. After that, I started my online journey properly.

Selling graphic design, introduction videos and opening webstores :)

It's actually fun story.

Back in 2014 I noticed that Google Analytics code is not random, but digits in sequence (like UA-2839482-1).

I went for a beer with my friend, who was Java developer, and we made super simple script:
We took every possible combinations of digits, paste it into GA java script and run localy on a loop, in referer we used our own domain, which was redirecting to Aliexpress through Commision Junction.

We had no idea about anything, all domains were registered on our real adresses etc.
As a result, referal traffic from our domain was showing on every single Google Analytics panel on the planet.
We were flooded with traffic from webmasters who wanted to check what the hell is that site. Tens of thousands of views.
Aliexpress at the time was giving 1% comission with 30 days cookie length, so we started to make like hundreds of dolars per day.

Funny enough, the method was so obvious to track (no real referers, not spoofing anything, single server IP), that we were shocked that they didn't block it straight away. We were shocked it even worked in a first place.

Well, they didn't know how to block it for next few months. Every single marketing blog wrote about us, we made absolute trash from everyones analytics data. It made me think that these huge corporations are not so smart they want everyone to think. They just have huge competitive advantage because of their market position, so they think they are geniuses, when in reality everything is just so much easier for them. That's what unfair, not earned power makes of you - you start feeling like king of the world, when in reality you just lazy douchebag. I never looked at the world the same ever since.

And of course, we were quickly sued by Amazon because we were smart enough to name one of our websites "chinese-amezon" , my mom was not happy when she collected the mail. We freaked out and deleted whole thing xD

I made my first dollar way back in 1999. There was a website called College Club where people can post emails that are then shared in the emails of people who joined certain communities.

I would join a lot of communities then talk about this website I'm promoting and give out email sign up codes.

The site I was promoting was easy to push since all you needed was an email to join.

No credit cards. No BS.

It didn't take me long to make a hundred dollars. I think it took me one day and after that, I quickly discovered another method.

During that period, Microsoft media player had a default setting where if you put a link in the settings of a video and after the video reaches a certain time point it would open that link.

As you can imagine, I went crazy with that method and I think I made at least 5,000 dollars with that method.

What I did was I took the viral videos, altered and dropped them to different college groups where the videos had not been shared on.

It was crazy, it was like printing money.

I felt so confident that when the dotcom crash happened and the company that I was an executive in crashed and burned after running out of funding I did not work for anybody else.

When I got laid off I didn’t even file for unemployment benefits. I was just collecting checks from all the things I was doing.

It didn’t feel like work. I was only hanging out at all these email clubs then I tried e groups where I made a lot of money as well.

I can go on and on.

The lesson of this story is to find something you enjoy and look for opportunities there because if you are enjoying yourself there, chances are other people are enjoying themselves there too and there is a chance that they would click links.

You know what that means. Links mean money.

To all the hustlers out there, I salute you. Keep the grind going and keep your eyes open for opportunities. That’s the name of the game.

I got my first "real" online money from selling POD shirts and hoodies online on different marketplaces
