What means PR? Ex: PR1, 3, 5?

Hello guys, i'm new into this thing.
I was wondering what means that PR?
Is it page rank? And how it works?

I have a website mywebsitedotnet, and there is another website mywebsitedotcom.

When i google mywebsite, ==> mywebsitedotcom comes first
==> mywebsitedotnet (my blog) comes second?

What PR is my websitedotnet?

Yes, That's right. PR means page Rank, It varies from PR0 to PR10. Every site has its Own PR value, I guess Pagerank is not having any relation with the rankings of website. but If you want to increase the pagerank of your website then make your website something better, informative and unique in terms of content... so that your website will start getting the natural backlinks. There are two ways :

1. Don't buy any back link to increase pagerank otherwise Google will penalize your website. so keep your website better so people will directly place the link of your website on its own.

2. In other case of buying links - Place your site on blogs in different registrars, C class i.ps and private name servers.

PR is page rank which show the rank of our website from search engine.
It rank according to how relevant and quality your website is. Usually if you get more than PR 7, your website must be awesome.
if .com website infront of you that mean their site look more relavant than you .
And you need do more work in onsite and offsite SEO in order to overtake them .
