I have asked my music distributor can I add my music in some parts of the videos on my second channel (that is not a music channel but gets way more views) and do I violate the terms of their service with that ( If I on my behalf upload videos on youtube that also contain my music)? And they have answered me this:It's means your channel is linked to CMS. You can content Id your content and send copyright claim and copyright strike to channels who copy it.
Or maybe I'm wrong.
To create content I'd you will need to join CMS from second channel too. I guess you cannot content id something that is already copyrighted.I have asked my music distributor can I add my music in some parts of the videos on my second channel (that is not a music channel but gets way more views) and do I violate the terms of their service with that ( If I on my behalf upload videos on youtube that also contain my music)? Hi there,
We would just claim the other videos you upload on your behalf. If you would to create Content ID assets on that channel, that would cause problems.

So if I have understood them correctly I can do this and they will claim that video. Let say the video is claimed by them because contains my song that is in their distribution, but if I content id content/make content-id asset on that video that already in some parts contains claimed song there is gonna be a problem? Probably because I can't make ContentID assent on video that is already claimed by the third parth?
I hope you understood my question, I explained it very badly...![]()
This is just a bait, for you to join them. Every distributor put in their website that you can monetize with content id. They claim you get revenues whenever someone use your music BUT once you get 3k-4k per month they shut you down and say you manipulated and exploit content id system.Hi there,
