What matters for Google?

Hello,

I want to discuss with you whether it is important to rank well in Google the front end side of the site- design+html or the back end code?

I have a developer who says that the back-end side may not be top quality code but if it is working without bugs then there's no need to rewrite it. But the front-end should be done properly with nice html5+design.

What is your opinion?

Yeah.. I think too like you that front end development should be of good quality with latest technologies.. These website who have such type of front end development are best and ranked well at google..
