What makes someone stand out on LinkedIn today?

treat it like any other platform, and make consistent posts, also if you are creative, mix in some humor that is relevant to your niche. I see some comedian blow up on the platform

What makes you shine isn't saying you're a sales expert or passionate about results, everyone does that, the difference lies in sharing how you think and how you solve real problems, people connect with what they feel, not what they read on a resume, if you only use LinkedIn to browse, you're wasting your time, those who stand out are the ones who comment on other people's posts with insightful ideas, not just a thanks for sharing.

Another key point is that authenticity is worth more than perfection, posts where you share a failure or an awkward moment that taught you something tend to get much more engagement than polished, empty texts, people connect with vulnerability and real stories, it also helps to have a clear opinion on topics in your industry, even if it's controversial, someone who says, this is garbage, and I'll explain why, will always generate more conversation than someone who hides behind generic phrases.

In my opinion, people who stand out on LinkedIn usually have two things in common: a well-optimized, professional profile and a consistent track record of sharing valuable content that benefits their community.

What stands out most today is proof, not promises. People engage more with real results, lessons learned, and practical insights than with generic motivation. A strong profile plus consistent niche-focused content goes much further than posting every day without a clear message.

Sharing guides tips tutorials and lists/spreadsheets is the biggest single growth hack out there. The data is there just package it and give it for free. Watch the likes roll in.

From what I have seen consistency and a unique perspective matter more than anything People who stand out usually share practical insights from real experience rather than repeating common advice A mix of useful content genuine engagement and a clear niche tends to work better than trying to appeal to everyone

What’s working lately is simple, clarity over volume. People who stand out usually have a specific angle (industry, skill, or opinion) and they repeat it consistently until it sticks. Random posting doesn’t build recognition anymore.

What works well in LinkedIn at the moment is consistency of niche positioning point of view type of content rather than educational material. It helps people to distiguish theselves in their choice of lane, sharing personal experience, views, and even engaging in discussions, rather than just writing posts. It makes personal branding more personal

Hi,
I am working on LinkedIn and I observe that some people focus on personal branding, others publish educational content, and some rely heavily on networking and engagement.
In your opinion, what actually makes someone stand out on LinkedIn today?
I am interested to listen from you that what strategies have worked best for you and what trends you are seeing lately.
staying consistent and being authentic makes the biggest impact on LinkedIn
sharing useful content engaging with people and building genuine connections can help you stand out it is not just about posting more but about adding value and building trust over time

Profile reputation.
There should be nothing which a viewer will dislike about me or my brand. It should look real.
makes it stand out from the market

Fake it till you make it. Pose as an expert even if you're not.

In my experience, the people who stand out on LinkedIn aren't necessarily the ones posting the most. They're the ones sharing specific insights from real experience. Anyone can post generic motivation or AI-generated tips, but actual lessons, case studies, failures, and results get remembered.

Another underrated strategy is engaging in comments. I've seen professionals gain more visibility from thoughtful comments on industry posts than from their own content.

A trend I'm noticing is that audiences are getting tired of overly polished "personal brand" posts. Authentic experiences, practical advice, and transparent discussions about what worked (and what didn't) seem to perform much better than generic success stories. Quality and credibility are becoming more important than volume.

In my opinion, being consistent and providing value is what helps people stand out on LinkedIn today

In my opinion, what makes someone stand out on LinkedIn is having a large following and consistently posting content that generates strong engagement on their profile.

I think the accounts with the largest followings are often owned by people who have worked at leading companies and have established professional backgrounds.

Networking with other people provides the highest value for me, because you can collaborate with them to some extent and you can make more money than by doing it alone.

Great question!

From what I have seen, the people who stand out on LinkedIn are not necessarily the ones posting the most content. They usually combine three things:

✅ A strong personal brand (sharing their journey, lessons, and experiences)
✅ Valuable educational content (helping their audience solve real problems)
✅ Consistent networking and engagement (building genuine relationships)

In my experience, engagement is often the biggest growth driver. Many professionals focus only on posting, but meaningful conversations in comments and DMs can create far more opportunities.

One trend I'm noticing lately is that authentic stories and real case studies are outperforming generic AI-generated content. People connect more with real experiences, challenges, and results than with polished marketing posts.

The best strategy seems to be a balance of content, credibility, and relationships rather than relying on just one of them.
