Hello everyone, I'm learning more about writing articles, and I'm interested in what makes content useful and entertaining for readers. I'm just curious in various writing strategies, advice, or routines that have proven effective for others; I'm not advertising or providing any services. eager to absorb knowledge from the community. Thank you!

Started writing content for the clients last month and keep wondering about this exact thing. Really glad you asked.

Straight to the point and include serious and relevant references.

I’m still learning too, but what’s helped me most is just writing like I’m talking to one person, not trying to sound smart or “perfect.” I focus on being clear first, then making it a bit interesting with examples or small stories. Having a simple structure helps a lot, like problem → experience → takeaway. I also try to read good stuff daily, you naturally pick up tone and flow. Personally, I think consistency matters more than fancy techniques, the more you write, the better you get without even noticing.

What’s worked best for me is treating every article like a quiet one-to-one conversation, not a performance. I start by solving one clear problem, cut anything that doesn’t help the reader, and then add small real-world examples so it doesn’t feel dry. I also edit hard, as good writing is usually more about removing fluff than adding words. Over time, you’ll notice that usefulness keeps people reading, and clarity makes it entertaining without trying too hard.

If an article provides relevance to what a reader is facing as a challenge or a problem, the reader most probably considers it as helpful and worth reading or "consuming". In broader words, does an article match search intent ? (as an example).

I think a helpful article is one that clearly understands what the reader is looking for and answers it in a simple way.

Good structure also makes a big difference. Breaking content into sections, using clear headings, and keeping paragraphs easy to read helps readers stay engaged.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that real examples or personal insights make content more relatable and trustworthy.

So it’s not just about information, but how clearly and usefully it’s presented to the reader.

Something I'm trying is collecting things prospects and early customers say about their situation. A very neat one from yesterday basically went, "yes, everything is configurable now, but should it be?"

Awesome quote and very reflective of the particular attitudes of our target champion ICP, so I'm writing that at the top of a LInkedIn post anonymously, and then extrapolating from there with a few things other customers said, a value prop of ours, and a question (call to action, really) at the end: is this familiar to you?
