I've tried a few hosting companies, and while they all promise 99.9% uptime, the actual results differ. What in your opinion, makes a host dependable speed, uptime, support, or something else?

uptime is definitely important, and I think most hosters do provide the advertised 99% uptime...

Other than that I also look at:

- price
- inodes (number of files) allowed, which - for some reason - is a metric that most hosters hide, I don't know why (probably because it's too low and they don't want people to know??)
- storage space
- bandwidth
- number of domains allowed

Oh, and customer support too, I almost forgot about this (actually crucial) perk...

uptime
the actual service itself, no point saying all these fancy cpu/bandwidth and shit when the the hosting is a slog
support
price

Before I paid for any hosting im looking for their support first
If support fast answering that mean you can slove any problem on your hosting fast

A dependable host needs reliable uptime fast speed and responsive support uptime matters most , but all three are important.

Indeed uptime is merely the starting point. Support responsiveness, storage restrictions, and bandwidth are all things I constantly examine since occasionally hidden factors like inodes or permitted domains have a significant impact on actual performance. Do you have a favorite host who meets every requirement?

Indeed, the most important factors are uptime and real speed. Fair price and excellent service make a big difference

A dependable host needs a balance of uptime, speed, support, and security consistently fast performance reliable access, and responsive support make a host truly trustworthy

Forget what they promise. Look for actual user experiences on independent forums. When something breaks, how quickly and effectively do they fix it? That's what separates the good from the bad. Speed is important, but consistent availability and solid support trump everything.

Look into the offered maintenance plan; how often they scan for malware/viruses, how often the software is updated, how often the plugins are patched, how often backups are run, and others.
