What made you get into IM?

Because I absolutely love the Internet, so why not work on it to make money?

Most of the people I know, look at my in a strange way when I tell them I don't need a real job, they look me like I'm crazy or something, and when they do that, I know I'm on the right track.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

I started in high school. When I realized I can make money online I became obsessed. Been grinding ever since then.

P.S. nothing wrong with cheating. Just don't get caught
 
After you're on this planet for 15-20 years you realize there is a very subtle force driving most peoples decisions.

Money.
 
The main reason for me is the freedom. Tell me another job/business where you have more freedom than in IM.

Because its so easy to make money with, I just have to invest in a few programs, HDD space, Internet connection, good spec computer and I am nearly guarantee to make money. Its safer to get into IM than investing money into any kind of business.
 
The money and the freedom. And me personally I have fun making money online so since its fun and I like doing it, It works.

In addition to that, I also found it incredibly easy to start an IM business. Not only are the expenses low when you're starting out, but there is a wealth of knowledge here on Black Hat World to help guide you through your career. :D

So I'm proud of it because it helped me pass a course I paid for out of pocket during a very trying point in my life. Me personally? I've never met anyone making over $5k/mo who doesn't work their fucking ass off. Multiply that by 10 and the level of work will make most people cry. Most of you aren't making squat because you cling to these old tired rhetorics like "work smart, not hard". Well guess what. You need to work smart AND hard. Work doesn't have to be tiring or painful if you do what you love, but you do have to work hard. This is a perfect example. You're shit scared and don't know what you're doing because you don't work. Do you know how many hours a day I spent studying and testing SEO? 10 hours+. Building countless sites, reading about SEO, email marketing, copywriting, landing page optimization, studying tools, creating visually rich mindmaps so I can understand and recall the information and keeping all my research effectively organized in software like TheBrain.

When you approach business like that, you don't get shit scared when you have some "big landscaper". When you cheat and take shorcuts, not actually having a clue what the fuck you're doing, then yes, you'll shit your pants when you have to make something work and there's no shortcut available.

Hahaha...can't imagine someone would spend so much time and effort reading and analyzing all my old posts just to prove a point. All the 3 threads you mentioned, I was in it NOT for the money but to check out the methods being used and see if it could be replicated and scaled up. That's the only work I do; research new methods, try it out once and if it works, train my employees to get it done.

I could refute each and every point you made, but I don't want to bother arguing with a kid

Really? I barely work at all because I pay people to do my work. It is how it is done when you want to live your life. Oh and $5k a month is nothing, not even close. But I suppose a big timer like yourself who evidently knows everything there is to know about anything must be right, and to make a measly $5k a month you have to work eight days a week.

Just a little tip, if you think you have to work your balls off to make $5k a month, you are doing it all wrong. Take a look into the word "outsource".

Hours here writing posts? Yeah those 3.25 I post a day is taking all my time up, just think what I could do with those extra 3 minutes a day.

When your opinions of what I do and do not have or do, directly affect my life, I may be interested in your opinions. But until then, all you will ever be to me is a little boy playing businessman on mummy's laptop. I always thought that was why people did IM, must be wrong as SplishSplash seems to know it all. Unless by his comment he is referring to bricklayers.
 
I think it's the privilege of working freely and without a boss and you are really successful, you will earn a lot and that makes life less stressful. :)
