What link building techniques do you use?

My question is, i've read somewhere that google discards most of the links from web 2.0 like blogger and youtube etc.. Is this true?

I'm constantly looking for platforms that I can get some sort of contextual link into that aren't being spammed by all the major tools. There are still decent platforms out there.
 
For the bedst results, you should combine all the different methods of linkbuilding

Web 2.0 and HQ directory links are working good now a days. Also concentrate some on on page factors by including all basic things for ranking. Web 2.0 will work, if you do post one HQ article with link in each web 2.0. If you do regular post in your all web 2.0 in weekly basics or monthly basics with different topics or different links in the content, then it should work greatly...

You need all of them for link and anchor text diversity. Save your preferred anchor text for your own PBNs
 
mostly i use RSS and automatic blog post which help me a lot for good link building
 
Submit articles to article directories
Write guest posts for blogs - There are manylooking for people who can write guest posts
Submit your website to all the top Socialbookmarking sites.
 
you got to use about all the links mentioned to get ranked
 
Well manual blog commenting always work,and i also use web2.0 profiles on relevent sites and topics.
 
I would say few most value link building methods which i had done for few website.

Press Release on free listing site, once a month.
Creating PDF and submitting on doc sharing site. monthly 2
Creating video with details transcript, you can link back to your website, Monthly 1 video would me more enough.
Keep adding blogs on your domain weekly 1. Interlinking is most important thing when you compare links from other website.
 
I mostly create backlinks in educational blogs that helps the people and people visit the links. I also use pinterest for SEO.
