What link building strategies should I avoid?

I know what the importance of link building. I'm happy for giving me some helpful information about link building. but I want to know what main point to avoid for making a backlink.

I know form posting is a great backlink. If you know about my thinking. But I want to say that create natural backlink. Natural backlink is better than other backlink.
 
You need to avoid
- Irrelevant Niche links
- banned sites link (past homepage link in google, if it banned it wont show)
- Low quality sites
- Text links only ( contextual links best than text only)
