I have created a directory website and have started to target towns and cities. While some of my local area terms are ranking well (page 1) at the moment, the content is still somewhat unique.
I am planning to have in the region of 300 towns and cities on the site across the UK to try to maximise organic traffic on these smaller towns, to absorb traffic from these far easier areas to rank for.
I have written a base template for these areas at 1200 words. The local area keyword is switched out for the revelant area.
In addition to this 1200 words, I am including a Chatgpt generated section at 400 words with unique information about business and demographic relating to my niche.
Across the 1600 words of content, my keyword area appears 50 times with variations, eg:
Windsor, Windsor UK, Windsor (UK), Windsor (Berkshire), and then longer tail variation too
Question is, am I ok to use this template across hundreds of pages, is the inclusion of a 500 word Chatgpt section acceptable variation?
I do have very slight other changes on the page, such as links to other areas in that region. Title tag varies dynamically depending on the category listing count .
Obviously the preferred way would be writing 1500 words unique to each area but it's not viable to pump out this content or pay for it, for such small and insignificant areas which might get one or two impressions a week.
Further question, is my method above better than pumping out these categories PRIOR to adding content, so better to have content first and then add more areas or pump out 400 areas with no content, and add the content gradually
