Could you guys help out with an article im writing.

I read a while ago that digital point website was caught cookie stuffing + a few other larger websites caught being a little naughty.

Do anyone know of any stories of large biz caught cheating - adsense - buying links and such.

Thanks for this - just what im looking for.

A year ago, I worked with a large news network out of Germany to develop a number of "grey hat/black hat" SEO web applications. To say the least, their SEO practices were a little shady. These large companies have a lot of money to throw around ($millions), and with that they have the ability to hire top-notch programmers and SEO experts - THEY DO NOT PLAY AROUND. When a company spend's millions each month of Google ad's and then receives millions each month in Adsense revenue, you are given a very large amount of leeway to do as you please.
So...with your question about "how many have been caught", the answer is very little. "How many use shady SEO practices"....I could easily estimate over 60%+ of major news outlet's alone do it. This also does not factor in the fact that they have their own Google rep's that they speak to by phone and the fact that many large media outlet's have access to top Google executives.

Teleflora and they haven't fully recovered.

Interflora is their name. Another one for the list: HugoBoss.com got a penalty in 2014 because the agency they had hired used an old fashioned keyword domain PBN with crap content to push them.

Almost every single newspaper in Germany and Austria got penalised for selling links. I know because I bought those links and were unable to after newsepapers nofollowed everything. They got their PR set to 0 too, which basically confirmed the penalty.

When you check the digital marketing sites of Germany, you will find many good stuffs to write :D LOL
I laughed when I read about BMW matter :P

Every single? No bigger one was ever affected. It was more like a few dozen small regional newspapers, including these http://www.peakace.de/blog/pagerank-penalty-deutsche-tageszeitungen/#gref Neverless, a clear signal from Google ;)

Every big international artist on vevo was caught buying millions of fake views. Everybody use BH methods even in real life.

consumer search got hit badly in 2011 according to semrush. Think they part of about.com brand.
